I had the good fortune and pleasure to interview Dr. Kelly Casperson on our podcast this month. Kelly is a successful podcaster and coach who is on a mission to teach women about sex and to show them that they “are not broken.” She is a urologist and a coach and talked with me about limiting beliefs and how to overcome them.
During her training to become a urologist, Kelly questioned how she belonged in a male dominated world as a petite blonde woman. As a staff surgeon, she listened to her female patients tell her that their confidence was broken because they couldn’t have the intimacy that they desired. So she combined her earlier training in neuroscience with training as a life coach to help women change their thoughts around their sexual experiences.
In our discussion we focused on the derailers of confidence at work and at home. We explore negative thoughts, or limiting beliefs as Kelly calls them, and feeling not good enough. Kelly talks about the connections between thoughts, feelings and actions. And we talked about the importance of belonging. Listen today to the podcast and learn from Kelly Casperson how to move past your limiting beliefs!
